From Kotobukiya and sculpted by Tsubame comes this Horror Bishoujo 1/7 scale statue of Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which is known for originating many of the staples in the genre and is part of the permanent collection at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. This Chainsaw Dance version is the second Leatherface Horror Bishoujo figure to be made and depicts one of the most iconic scenes in the film when Leatherface dances with his chainsaw on a Texas road as the sun rises.
Measuring 9.8″, Leatherface is re-imagined as a beautiful woman wearing his familiar outfit though it is snug to her shapely form and has the addition of a lilac bra with a burst front clasp. Her lost and crazed expression has been beautifully painted and her disheveled, curly hair carefully sculpted. A clear highlight is her bloodied hands and chainsaw which were created by turning data from the film into 3D form and adjusted to the size of the statue. Even the smallest details have been created such as the tear on the front of Leatherface’s pants from when his chainsaw landed on his leg after being thwacked with a wrench in the face.
A “Pretty Woman Mask” is also included to make the figure even creepier. The base features an old country road design complete with big tire tracks and roadside grass to complete the atmosphere. Add this top-quality figure depicting the climax of the legendary film to your collection!
